You can order from current and past issues of Talking Book Topics or Braille Book Review or search for and order books through our online catalog. You can also call or email us at 1-800-622-4970 / tbbl@library.in.gov with book lists, favorite authors, or help picking your next book; Reader Advisors are available Monday-Friday from 8:00-4:30 to assist you.
All network libraries provide access to NLS-produced braille and talking books and magazines, which they circulate via postage-free mail. Some libraries have additional collections, including large-print books and described DVDs. Contact your library today to find out what services they can offer you.

Braille-on-Demand books will not need to be returned. Titles will be limited to any braille title that is currently available on BARD. NLS will print the Braille-on-Demand books from the BARD electronic braille files and mail them directly to patrons in a cardboard mailer.
BARD is an online service that allows any talking book customer to download books, magazines, and music scores in braille and audio formats. Through BARD a patron would have access to over 100,000 downloadable audio books, music scores, and web-Braille titles. Anyone who is an active TBBL patron can register for BARD, but you do need to apply for this service in addition to applying for the TBBL. Click here to learn more or to apply for BARD. The Ohio Library for the Blind and Physically Disabled (OLBPD) is part of the Cleveland Public Library. In partnership with the State Library of Ohio Talking Book Program, OLBPD serves as the Regional Library for the National Library Service (NLS) for the Blind and Print Disabled of the Library of Congress, and administers a free library program of braille and audio materials circulated to eligible borrowers in the State of Ohio by postage-free mail. OLBPD and the State Library of Ohio Talking Book Program received the 2010 National Library Service Network Library of the Year Award.
National Library Service (NLS) is a free braille and talking book library service for people with temporary or permanent low vision, blindness, or a physical disability that prevents them from reading or holding the printed page. Through a national network of cooperating libraries, NLS circulates books and magazines in braille or audio formats, delivered by postage-free mail or instantly downloadable.

The Indiana State Library has served the citizens of Indiana since 1825. The ISL is just a few steps away from the Indiana Statehouse and open to the public for a variety of needs including but not limited to; genealogy, Indiana history, preservation, rare books and manuscripts, reference and government services, Talking Books and Braille library, as well as the State Data Center. It also serves as a free facility for meetings and special events available to state agencies and the community (some fees apply to non-agency events).

The Indiana Talking Book and Braille Library is a division of the Indiana State Library, circulates via mail, audio books and magazines, Braille, large print, and descriptive videos to Indiana residents who cannot use regular print because of a visual or physical disability. They also provide specialized playback equipment for recorded materials, including a digital talking book player. To qualify for this free library service, the applicant fills out an application and has it signed by a healthcare professional or librarian.
Registered users can request books via the online library catalog, by supplying their reading interests and having books automatically selected from those topics, by downloading from an online database, or by scanning paper or audio catalogs for recently recorded books.
