1984 Univega Supra Sport Serial Number: A Collector's Item with a Story to Tell

I found the bike I was speaking about the other day, a Univega Supra Sport from 1984, I believe. There is a WordPress site that has all the old Univega catalogs, -univega-catalog.pdf which is a boon for this often unremarked brand from the 1980s. These bikes were the product of Ben Lawee, who had brought Motobecane bikes to the U.S.. He then imported Italvega bikes, later changing the name to Bertoni after splitting off the Univega production to Japan. Work there was done by Miyata.
